View of Spalding Family graves -- left to right: Miner, Sarah, Betsey, (hidden in the grass), and Ezra & Eunice Olin. To the right of Eunice Olin, deeply buried in the grass, is the grave of Henry Spaulding, born 1826, died 1889. If you look closely at the War of 1812 flag marker by Ezra's grave, just to the left of it is a small square tombstone. This is the grave of baby Edwin Spalding, son of E.L. and M., died April 4, 1838, age 11 months, 29 days. He is resting at the foot of and in between his grandparents, Sarah & Miner Spalding
Betsey Spaulding, daughter of Miner & Sarah, died October 25, 1854, age 64.
Closeup view of Miner's tombstone, upper right corner is baby Edwin's grave. Tombstone to the immediate left of Miner is completely obliterated. This tombstone is not mentioned in the 1934 transcription of the tombstones in this cemetery by H.C. Lester. Could it be another, older, Spalding family tombstone that was already illegible during the 1934 transcription?
